A really disappointing experience

Today we visited Dobbies Resturant in Woodbridge. This was about 10.30am we had to queue to get in, only one person before us! The reason was too few staff, so everything took so long, we were not surprised to see people give up and leave! Once seated and food delivered we were unable to request further assistance as there was no one to ask. Given Dobbies is following Covid regulations they need to either employ more staff or close until it can be opened unrestricted. This was not the sort of experience we would want to repeat.
That said the staff member who served us ( drinks at service bar and delivered our food) was a real credit to customer service.
The bacon roll was fresh but the bacon “tired” and the tea cake ok but my friend wanted Jam but there was no way we could have got this!
So disappointing

Great dog-friendly restaurant and cafe!

Visited for the first time this weekend since Dobbies has taken over and I was truly impressed. Restaurant and cafe have a dog-friendly area which is great. The fact dogs were not welcome was the main reason I didn’t visit the garden centre as much previously. Extensive menu, good food and friendly staff in the restaurant means I will definitely be returning ASAP. Keep up the good work!

Not impressed

Not impressed. Took the money didn’t send my plants, waited three weeks no reply no refund. Called them was told “we don’t know where your plants are”. Missed the planting time, my customers got annoyed. While I was waiting, my plants went out of stock. Had to contact the manager to get my refund, no complementaries were offered. Won’t be buying again

Would like more staff on the tills

Would like more staff on the tills, saying that the cashier was very friendly.
Am finding the cost of items are increasing, not sure if this is due to Covid or brexit. Am looking forward to the outlets in the shop soon.

I used to visit the garden centre all the time

I used to visit the garden centre all the time but since Dobbies took it over I don’t like the place, the staff obviously don’t either judging by their attitude, unfriendly and unhelpful.
The prices have risen sharply as well
This is Dobbies at Owermoigne inDorset. It’s not on your list!

I always loved going to Woodcote but…

I always loved going to Woodcote but what have they done to it.... my friends warned me it had changed for the worse and I went to see it for myself.. and they were right. It was a warm and friendly place but now it has no soul and ambience and I felt quite sad when I left. From seeing other reviews I see other people have the same feelings but the response to the review is simply ‘Dobbies has refurbished we hope you enjoy it’... it’s a shame they don’t take note of the reviews and do something about. It’s such a shame these corporate firms come in and change things... Woodcote was such a profitable and popular place... why would you fix something that isn’t broke.

Lovely places to browse and plan the…

Lovely places to browse and plan the garden plants you want to buy. Handy with the Sainsburys section as you can pick up a meal or top up milk and bread.
Shame that the cafe is not open for takeaway but hopefully it’ll be back in service.

Maintaining high quality!

Considering the current circumstances, the stock range was very good and the normally high quality of the plants has been very well maintained. I like the fact that the staff are still accessible though very careful on the social distancing front.
